2025 Severe Weather Season

Observations of Severe Storms and Interesting Weather Phenomena in 2025

April 25 - Gustnadoes, Microbursts, Hail, Lightning, and a Big Dusty Vortex - A trip to southeast Colorado (and eventually intot he western Oklahoma Panhandle) yields a number of interesting features. One was a vortex reported as a landspout tornado near Rritchett, CO by a National Weather Service employee - but the vortex may actually have been a large gustnado. I also got pictures and video around Springfield, CO of other features that were definitely gustnadoes, of strong, dusty microbutsts, and eventually of hail and an intense barrage of lightning in Boise City, OK
