2203Z. Note the two nearly supercells moving into Illinois to the west of my location. In the next two images, you can follow these two cells as they move east. The lead one was responsible for the tornadoes in Clarkston and Girard, giant hail in Clarksville, and large hail in many areas. The second one, being slightly elevated, produced no tornadoes, but did produce golfball or larger hail and up to 75 mph winds. Once the first supercell got ahead of me, I was between the two of them the rest of the way eastward into Carlinville.
