I am pleased to announce the availability of my first weather observation highlights DVD. The DVD includes video from the following days in 2007:

March 28 - Large, nicely backlit wall cloud near Effingham, IL.

April 3 - Severe storm in Madison County and warning sirens and 1+ inch hail in Pinckneyville, IL.

April 11 - Strongly-rotating wall cloud east of Terre Haute, IN - video looking up into the rotating wall cloud from less than a mile away!

May 5 - Supercells in southern Kansas and nighttime display of in-cloud lightning in Liberal, KS.

May 6 - Rotating wall cloud and funnel, from less than a mile away near Woodward, OK.

June 1 - Severe storm and backlit wall cloud in Bureau County, IL.

June 7 - Two supercells near Carrollton, MO. With the first one, a possible tornado forms and crosses the road a mile or so ahead of me. With the second, a wall cloud approaches as the HP (high-precipitation) supercell produces 80 mph wind and baseball-sized hail a few miles to my northwest.

The video concludes with a 4-minute photo montage of 2007 storms, including photos from all of the above days and a number of others, beginning with a 2-foot snow in Santa Fe, NM on New Years weekend and continuing through subsequent winter, spring, and early summer storms, all set to music. Nearly 50 photos in all!

This video is available for purchase for $10, plus $2 for shipping. If you live in Illinois, add $.66 sales tax. Contact me by email at jfarley@johnefarley.com if you would like to order the video. If you are a stormchaser and have a 2007 highlights video of your own, I am also willing to trade.
